We invite you to join us in preserving the over 700 species of this beautiful group of freshwater fish known as Killifish.|
Greetings from us at WAKO
Good news we not only have our contract signed for the hotel but we also have a confirmation from our guest speaker! Yes, plans for our 38th Annual Egg-Laying Toothcarp Jamboree (Killifish Show & Auction) is well underway. We’ve moved our location to the Comfort Suites which is located just across the street from our previous Show-site near the Mitchell Airport-Milwaukee, WI and the date will be the weekend of Oct. 27-28, 2018. Last year the date was moved up to that earlier weekend and it was decided to repeat it this year. So mark your calendars for the last weekend in October.
We are happy to announce that our featured guest speaker will be Bob Bock from the Washington D.C. area. He has generously agreed to give several talks, with the main one being “Killies of the United States.” Bob will also do 3 mini talks which include; Making your own Fish Food, Use of Astaxanthin and other carotenoids and lastly about Native Species in planted tanks.
We hope you’ll be able to join us for the weekend and help us to celebrate our club’s 50th Anniversary!
