The Wisconsin Area Killifish Organization invites anyone interested in Killifish to join the club! WAKO members meet on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 2pm. We have members in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Minnesota. Since we cover a large area, we meet at various members homes across the state of Wisconsin. This allows members to attend the meetings that are within driving distance.

Our meetings are very informal and usually consist of killie conversation accompanied by a nice spread of food and beverages. Meetings conclude with an auction of Killifish and plants with all proceeds going to the seller.

In addition to our regular meetings, the club holds an annual Christmas Party/Meeting in December. We also get together for an annual Collecting Trip/Picnic in July to collect native Wisconsin Killifish.

Other club activities include: hosting our local sanctioned Killifish show, attending and sending fish to other club's shows, and supporting the American Killifish Association in their effort to preserve the over
700 species of killifish.
